Finding good quality skincare at a reasonable price point can be tough—especially when you grow up with eczema and sensitive skin. I always check ingredient lists for allergens and look for a solid preservative system in water-based products. One of the main reasons I chose the Glow Oil is that it contains no water.
I learned about Unicorn Tears products at a popup event and had a fantastic time at their Mommy Glow Oil Bar experience. It’s so unique because you can choose a scent and customize what goes into the Glow Oil—like dried flowers and skin-safe mica colors—and craft your very own potion.
The Glow Oil Base 2 caught my attention with its natural ingredients like Jojoba, Squalane, Rosehip, Calendula, Infused Sunflower, and Vitamin E—all known to deeply moisturize and soften without clogging pores. This base is gentle, lightweight, calming, and soothing. I also learned their products are freshly prepared in small batches from reputably sourced natural ingredients. I chose the Citrus Dream scent which smells like an orange creamsicle popsicle and brings me back to the nostalgia of my childhood. I love using the oil right after my evening shower as part of a ritual to relax and unwind. It absorbs quickly without being sticky and my skin feels soft the next day. I saw them at a pop up and they allowed me to customize this oil for my sister. I added some red and gold mica, some rose petals and some lavender buds. I chose the Dulce Rosa scent. They gave me the bottle and included a small pocket size as well. I was impressed by the bag they gave it to me in. I was able just to hand the bag as is to my sister and she thought that I gift wrapped it. She is very happy with how the oil feels o her skin and how it smells. Now she wants to try some of there other products. I’ll have her leave the next reviews.
